The Shipping Registers held by the Jane Cameron National Archives commence with Volume I started on the arrival of Lieutenant Governor Moody on board the Hebe 15 January 1842 (series SHI/REG).

The transcription currently covers the period 15 January 1842 to 10 April 1947 with a gap in the records from 19 April 1881 to 4 January 1883.  It does not include the South Georgia Shipping Register.
