About the Jane Cameron National Archives
The Jane Cameron National Archives ensure the long-term survival and easy accessibility of all those records most important to the history and administration of the Falklands and contain the records of British administration, Falkland Islands Company Ltd Stanley Office records and a wide range of other documents of family and academic interest.
In 2010, archives were changed to a National Archives and re-named in memory of Jane Cameron. Since then, the National Archives staff have continued to expand the collections and ensure the preservation and accessibility of records held.
Jane Cameron was an Islander who returned to the Islands in 1989, after living in the United Kingdom where she studied, to take up the newly-created post of Government Archivist. Over the next 20 years Jane became well known for her dedication to preserving the Islands' history in all of its forms. Jane sadly passed away in 2009.

Mission: To maintain and preserve the archives of the Falkland Islands in order that maximum use can be made of them and to promote the study of Falkland Islands history, directly supporting Islands Plan
