Annual statistical records produced by the Falkland Islands from 1846 to 1944. including the names, salaries and dates of appointment of government personnel plus other records such as revenue and expenditure, public works, legislation, trade, shipping, land use, schools and local organizations.

The outgoing and incoming correspondence covering all topics, between the local Government (Governor and Colonial Secretary) and London. From the 1830's until around the time of the First World War, Government records were kept in large copybooks. All outward letters and despatches were copied into letter books.

The first Falkland Islands Gazette to be published in its present form was Volume 1 No 1 dated Thursday 1st January 1891. The Gazette contains proclamations and notices relating to legislation, civil service and statutory appointments.

Currency Note Issue books for the Falkland Islands, the first Falkland Islands Currency Note Order, 1899 came into operation 16 October 1899. The notes could be issued under the following denominations: 5s, 10s, £1, £5 and any multiple of £5.
