Volunteer Opportunities

The Jane Cameron National Archives are keen to support anyone in the community who has an interest in volunteering and dedicating their time and effort to support projects whether that is in person or online/remotely. Volunteers make huge contributions to enriching our collections and we hope that in turn we provide a rewarding experience for those who choose to get involved.

You can find out more about volunteering with the JCNA and what volunteers expect from us, by reading our Volunteering Policy (link pending).

The Archives are developing options for on-site and remote (online) volunteering projects.

Please email us directly if you wish to register your interest.

Work Experience Placements

If you are a student looking to gain a work experience placement with the service, to develop archival skills or gain an insight into the work of the Archives, we are keen to hear from you.

Please send us the completed the FIG Application Form telling us about yourself and why you want to work with us.
