Introduction
The Collections Guide has been developed to allow users to browse and learn about the archival collections. This information can be used by researchers and service users to understand what types of subjects, material, and records are accessible to them, and can be used to identify records that users may want to access in person from the Archives, or if a digital copy is available.
It does not provide a full itemised list of all catalogued and accessible archival records but is intended to provide a useful starting point for anyone researching Falkland's history through the service. Researchers can use the Collections Guide to examine what records are retained by the Archives, how many items exist within a particular collection or series level (indicating topics and subject matters), the date range that the records cover, and the accessibility of the records.

Reading Room Library
The Archives Reading Room Library contains a multitude of books purchased by the service or donated to us, that relate to certain aspects of Falkland's history. These are available for any researchers to view at the Archives, to assist with their research and provide useful contextual information. Many of these books have not been scanned to the website.
These books are free to access from the Archives in the Reading Room, but are not to be removed from the building.
